legos galore
Friday March 4th 6:30 – 8:30 pm K-6th graders!

What is it about LEGO’S that makes kids such maniacs?  I love the creativity and intensity kids get when they see a box of LEGO’S, unopened potential!  Just as we are before we know Christ, unrealized possibilities, when we meet Jesus and allow Him complete access to our character and gifts and uniqueness, He creates something with infinite possibilities…even the pieces that seem damaged or too odd for practical purposes…God sees how our strangeness can give rise to the most amazing God-glorifying construction.

How do you discover potential in a person?  Dale Carnegie says, “You find potential the same way you find gold.  Several tons of dirt must be moved to get one ounce of gold, but you don’t go to the mine looking for dirt…you go in looking for gold.  You look for potential.”

Ever seen a little boy digging through a box of LEGOS, like he KNOWS what he is looking for? and then…triumphant when he discovers some seemingly ordinary piece of brick?  But he knew exactly what he was digging for.  God knows exactly what he is “digging” for in our lives…and he has to move a lot of our dirt out of the way to get to the gold.  Painful, all that shifting and moving on our end, but when He is victorious and pulls out that piece of us that is long buried and unused…there is rejoicing and triumph.

Oh the possibilities He sees in us!
