The AWANA GRAND PRIX is a big deal…not the competition itself, but the effort and hours many kids and dads spend together dreaming of that special car.  Ephesians 2:10 says  We are HIS workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.  

So as we looked at the amazing variety of cars this Sunday, each with a unique design, style and craftsmanship I could not help but think of this verse and how lovingly and tirelessly the Lord works on us and prepares us for good works.  Much like all the kids and dads were preparing for Sunday’s Grand Prix, God continually sands us down, refits us, adds depth and weight to our lives to get us ready to race.  We are created in Christ Jesus….our manufacturer is a genius in design and performance, He knows what we need for the race set before us.
